SymbioTech Presented during the International Staff Week 2026 in Celje, Slovenia

On May 18, 2026, the SymbioTech project was presented during the International Staff Week 2026 in Celje, Slovenia, organised as an introductory event to the MakeLearn Conference 2026. The workshop brought together 11 participants from various countries around the world, representing higher education institutions and organisations involved in international cooperation, education, and sustainability initiatives.

The presentation, delivered by dr. Valerij Dermol and mag. Alenka Dermol, introduced the main objectives and activities of the SymbioTech project, focusing on digital industrial symbiosis, circular economy approaches, and sustainable development practices.

The interactive session created an excellent opportunity for international exchange of experiences, ideas, and perspectives related to sustainability, innovation, and green transition processes. Participants actively discussed the role of digitalisation and collaboration in supporting industrial symbiosis and creating more sustainable and resource-efficient ecosystems.

The workshop also highlighted the importance of international networking and interdisciplinary cooperation for addressing global sustainability challenges and strengthening connections between academia, industry, and other stakeholders.

Together, we are fostering international collaboration and promoting innovative approaches for a more sustainable and circular future.
