SymbioTech at the FREINDS Knowledge Camp in Potenza, Italy

On May 7, 2026, the SymbioTech project was presented during the Knowledge Camp organised within the FREINDS project in Potenza, bringing together 21 participants from Slovenia, Italy, Latvia, Poland, and Norway.

As both projects focus on industrial symbiosis and circular economy approaches, the workshop created an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences, compare methodologies, and discuss how successful practices developed within the nearly completed FREINDS project can be transferred into SymbioTech activities.

The interactive discussion highlighted the importance of international cooperation, knowledge sharing, and stakeholder engagement for supporting sustainable and climate-neutral industrial ecosystems. Participants actively contributed ideas, examples, and perspectives on how industrial symbiosis can strengthen resource efficiency, collaboration, and green transition processes across Europe.

Together, we are building stronger connections between projects, organisations, and countries to accelerate sustainable innovation and circular economy solutions.
