AGH University of Science and Technology Engages Academia and Industry in Industrial Symbiosis Dialogue

AGH University of Science and Technology, the coordinator of the SymbioTech project, has been actively engaging academic and industry stakeholders in Poland to support the development of Digital Industrial Symbiosis competences.

Through a series of academic-focused stakeholder workshops, researchers, doctoral candidates, and students were introduced to the core concepts of Industrial and Digital Industrial Symbiosis, as well as the project’s research and training objectives. Particular attention was paid to systemic barriers, methodological approaches, and the role of higher education in supporting circular industrial transitions.

These engagement activities helped validate the scientific foundations of the project and ensured that curriculum development is grounded in both academic excellence and real-world relevance. Feedback collected during the workshops directly informed the design of the SymbioTech competence framework and reinforced the importance of interdisciplinary skills for future symbiosis managers.
